What is the opportunity?

As a Risk Intern, you will design and implement AI-driven solutions to streamline external program intake processes and standardize investigation workflows within the CCR risk management function. In this role, you will partner with the Associate Director in Strategic Delivery to accelerate process automation and enhance data quality governance. You will leverage AI agents, LLMs, and advanced analytical tools to reduce manual overhead, improve consistency, and enable the team to focus on higher-value risk analysis-directly supporting the bank's effective market and counterparty credit risk management.

What will you do?

  • Design and develop an AI agent that analyzes external program requirements, assesses downstream/upstream impact, and decomposes tasks into tickets and releases, with a roadmap for future enhancements including IT effort collection and automated routing.
  • Build automated release impact analysis tools to identify inconsistencies, missing data, and anomalies in release configurations and dependencies, enabling rapid impact assessment for business user sign-off.
  • Support the development and automation of risk analysis infrastructure, standardizing processes and tools to enhance efficiency and consistency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional business and IT teams to gather requirements, test solutions, and iterate based on feedback.
  • Document processes, tools, and best practices to ensure team sustainability and knowledge transfer.

Must-have

  • Working experience in data analysis or quantitative analytics.
  • Broad knowledge of traded products across various asset classes.
  • Strong analytical and independent problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent programming skills (Python or equivalent).

Please note:This posting is for a 4-months Winter 2027 Student placement with a start date of January 2027, and end date of April 2027. In order to be eligible for this 4-months Student position, you must either:

  • If you are not returning back to school (i.e. are graduating in April 2027), you must require the full 4-months work term as a mandatory component to in order to graduate successfully.
