Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Access Control Patrol in Boston, MA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a financial institution, where you will conduct routine patrols, monitor assigned areas, support access control activities, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will deliver outstanding customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming environment. Pay Rate: $22.05 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner and notify appropriate personnel according to site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, including offices, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter, to help identify and report unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and observe visitor, employee, and vendor activity in accordance with site-specific access-control procedures.
  • Prepare accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift logs while communicating relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
