Door Systems & Access Control Technician

Location: Devens, MA
Schedule: MondayFriday | 8:00 AM 4:30 PM
Pay: Based on experience
The Job

Were seeking a hands-on technician to maintain and repair commercial door systems and access control hardware at a large pharmaceutical facility. This is a clean, well-managed site offering steady hours, specialized work, and a wide variety of door systems.

What Youll Do
  • Repair and maintain dock levelers and dock locks

  • Service exterior sliding gates and motor-operated roll-up doors

  • Maintain interlocking man doors and storefront glass entrance doors

  • Repair commercial man doors and hollow metal doors with low-energy operators (automatic/ACT doors)

  • Inspect and service rolling steel fire doors (utilities)

  • Maintain airwalls (OCC partition doors)

  • Troubleshoot and repair high-speed roll-up doors

  • Install and service mag locks, electric strikes, sensors, and access control devices

  • Troubleshoot door operators, closers, locks, and safety systems

  • Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and light general facility repairs

  • Document work performed and communicate clearly with site leadership

Skills & Experience That Make You a Great Fit
  • Hands-on experience with commercial and automatic door systems

  • Knowledge of dock equipment, automatic operators, and access control systems

  • Familiarity with brands such as Stanley, Dormakaba, Tormax, Schlage, or similar

  • Comfortable using a phone or tablet for work order management

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and work safely in a team environment

  • Bonus: Experience in lab or manufacturing environments, cGMP knowledge, or AAADM certification
