Medical Oncologist - Lafayette, CO!

About this role:

Located in the heart of Lafayette, Colorado, Good Samaritan Medical Center is a 234-bed Level II Trauma Center committed to exceptional patient care and community service.

Our Cancer Center is part of a collaborative oncology network spanning four hospitals across the Denver area. You'll join established team of 11 physicians and 11 APPs, practicing in a beautiful location nestled between Denver and Boulder.

Our CoC and NAPBC accredited Cancer Center offers a thoughtfully designed clinical environment with 5 exam rooms, 1 procedure room, and 15 infusion chairs. You'll be supported by a highly skilled, patient-centered team including six RNs, a dedicated Nurse Navigator, Medical Assistant, Registered Dietitian, Social Worker, Genetic Counselor, Clinical Pharmacist and Tech, Palliative Care, Financial Advocate, and an experienced front-office team.

Here are some highlights you can expect from this employed practice:

  • Clinic hours are Mon-Fri 8am - 5pm. Our oncologists work 40 hours on a 4-day week.

  • You'll be on call 1:7 for all locations; Good Samaritan Medical Center, Platte Valley Medical Center, Lutheran Medical Center, and Saint Joseph Hospital

  • Call is typically very light

  • A robust clinical trials infrastructure enabling participation in cutting-edge trials as part of an integrated cancer research program

  • Growth for the Oncology program in the Denver and surrounding areas will include additional FTEs in the future for this location

How we'll support you:

Compensation: Our compensation plan is standard across the Denver Front Range. We offer a salary of $576,015 plus a wRVU production incentive. Call is paid out from first call shift at $450/weeknight and $1,890/weekend. Additionally, we are offering a $25,000 Sign on Bonus. A relocation bonus is also available to qualified candidates.

What you'll bring:

We hire people, not words on paper. But we also expect excellence, which is why we require:

  • MD or DO degree from a fully accredited medical or osteopathic school of medicine

  • Unrestricted physician license in the state of CO or able to obtain

  • Fellowship trained in Hematology/Oncology

  • American Board certification or eligibility in the designated discipline

  • Minimum of 2 years of practice experience
