Position Description & Qualifications Are you an AEGIS warrior? Are you searching for an opportunity at a place you can have influence and make a difference every day? Discover this great opportunity at Serco to support combat systems development as part of Serco's team supporting PMS 400D and the Arleigh Burke Destroyer Class of ships. Must have an active U.S. Department of War (DoW) Secret security clearance. This is a hybrid role. As an Engineer (AEGIS Hardware & Software Integrator) on Serco's team, you will analyze the Integrated Combat System (ICS) / BL10 AEGIS Combat System (ACS) and key combat system components (including SPY-6 Air and Missile Defense Radar (AMDR), and Weapon Systems) to track new developments and provide recommendations to PMS 400D. Your expertise and ideas are needed to maintain the most innovative and successful combat system in the world. Serco supports the PMS 400D team who are responsible for the acquisition and delivery of the AEGIS destroyer and its combats systems to the Fleet in the defense of our nation and our allies. In this role, you will: * Provide support by observing and providing hardware and software maturity assessments, integration test results as well as watch items that could impact shipyard activation schedule/performance (E.G. stage testing), trials, or required capability at delivery.
* Provide onsite support from Development site (either Combat Systems Engineering Development Site at Moorestown, NJ or other location if changed) in order to ensure adequate integration of systems prior to shipboard installation on New Construction Destroyers.
* Identify the early on design and compatibility inflection points within the baseline development should be provided. * Review of supporting technical documentation, evaluation of proposed changes, and resolution of specific issues within the technical community are expected. * SMEs will provide technical review, analysis, and oversight for changes in their respective area of expertise.
* The subject duties will require SIPR access.
* Accomplish other duties as assigned. To be successful in this role, you will have: * An active DoW Secret security clearance.
* A U.S. Citizenship.
* A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or relevant/similar field.
* Additional relevant/similar experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
* 5 years of experience (Experience with the technical or operational aspects of AEGIS system or similarly complex Navy Combat System highly preferred).
* Experience with Aegis Baseline 10 and Combat Systems Engineering Development Site (CSEDS) or similar/related experience.
* Experience with combat systems upgrades and testing onboard US Navy Ships or similar/related experience.
* A familiarity with software configuration management and baseline development.The ability to work closely with military and civilian government employees to meet established goals without direct supervision is required.
* Intermediate Microsoft Excel competency is required, to include data entry, correction and retrieval; working with multiple worksheets, filtering data, creating and using mathematical, logical, statistical, and financial functions, charting and graphing, performing multiple-level sorting and use sorting options, and manipulating databases to obtain desired data.
* Intermediate/Advanced Microsoft Access competency to include data entry, correction, retrieval, understanding database relationships, working with table relationships, and creating tables, queries, forms, and reports at an advanced level.
