Job description
This role is hybrid, which means you will be required to work on site Monday through Thursday at the Best Buy corporate office in Richfield, Minnesota. You can work virtually from home or another nonBest Buy location on Friday. The recruiter or hiring manager will provide more details during the hiring process.
What you'll do
- Serve as the go-to expert for space planning and visual merchandising systems and reporting.
- Partner with business and technology teams to define requirements and improve system capabilities.
- Lead and support user acceptance testing for new tools, enhancements, and updates.
- Investigate business issues, identify root causes, and recommend effective solutions.
- Manage system updates that support companywide initiatives.
- Create tools, documentation, and best practices that drive operational efficiency.
- 2+ years of experience in retail, merchandising, inventory management, space management, architectural planning, or visual merchandising.
- Intermediate proficiency with AutoCAD.
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- 5+ years of experience in space management, floor planning, planograms, visual merchandising, retail, or store design.
- Knowledge of SQL or other database languages.
- Intermediate proficiency with Blue Yonder or other space management software.
- Experience with programming languages such as C++ or .NET.
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Access.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in retail, merchandising, inventory, or supply chain.
