Intermediate Ground Test Analyst

LOCATION: Huntsville, Alabama

JOB STATUS: Full-time

CLEARANCE: Secret

TRAVEL: >10%

Astrion is seeking an intermediate level Ground Test Analyst to support Missile Defense Agency's (MDA) Director of Test (DT) Ground Test Directorate (DTG). Join a professional team of highly qualified engineers, analysts, scientists, and technicians supporting the research, development, testing, and evaluation of the missile defense system whose purpose is to detect, track, engage, and destroy adversary missiles.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

  • Bachelor of Science or Arts in a related field; Three (3) additional years of relevant experience may be substituted for the BA/BS degree requirement
  • 7 years relevant experience
  • Active Secret security clearance highly desired; Eligibility to obtain and maintain at least a Secret security clearance required
  • Proficiency in MATLAB
  • Capable of providing expertise to relevant program analytical principles and practices for developmental and operational programs
  • Capable of providing planning, monitoring, acquisition, and implementation support for complex systems
  • Knowledge, skill, and abilities in the analytical field; capable of utilizing, adapting and developing analytic techniques and processes for both technical and administrative support activities
  • Work as a member of a team and assist with solving complex problems involving test plannings, integrations, execution, and analysis
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Proficient with the MS Office suite of tools

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

  • Knowledge of Missile Defense System components and system-level topics
  • In depth knowledge of MDA test planning, processes and execution
  • Modeling and Simulation experience
  • Experience with Python, Java, C++, HTML, and other programming languages

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide pre-mission analysis and data validation of sensor and battlespace coverage, radar cross section, radar object and scatter count, post intercept debris, and threat system performance verification and validation.
  • Utilize engineering and analytical skills to develop ground test pre-mission data products for use by MDA internal organizations in support of MDA’s ground test program, as well as develop algorithms and models to facilitate efficiencies in the production of the pre-mission data products.
  • May be required to schedule, participate in, and present analysis at working group meetings, peer reviews, and other technical meetings.
