Reliable Chevrolet Springfield is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian/Maintenance Technician to join our team in Springfield, MO. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and operational efficiency of our facility, ensuring a welcoming and professional environment for both customers and staff. This position requires working 10-hour shifts on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. Pay will be determined by experience.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance on facility equipment and building systems.
  • Install/replace light fixtures, using lifts.
  • Assist with troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC issues as needed.
  • Ensure all areas comply with health and safety standards and company policies.
  • Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and maintenance materials; reorder as necessary.
  • Support special projects and facility upgrades as directed by management.
  • Report any maintenance concerns or hazards to the appropriate department promptly.
  • Perform routine cleaning and custodial duties throughout the facility, including offices, service areas, and restrooms.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in custodial services and/or facility maintenance preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
  • Good communication skills and reliable work ethic.
  • Physical ability to perform manual labor and lift moderate weights.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
โ€ข Maintain a clean and safe environment for customers and employees
โ€ข Inspect the interior and exterior of all buildings on the premises and report any discrepancies
โ€ข Make minor repairs and record specific repair requests from management
โ€ข Replace defective or worn items (for example, light bulbs)
โ€ข Landscape and mowing
โ€ข Snow/ice removal from parking lots and premises
โ€ข Cleaning of the dealership premises, including collecting trash, cleaning windows/floors, and cleaning restrooms
โ€ข Painting as needed
โ€ข Comfortable working on your own
โ€ข General understanding of regulations that affect building operations, such as OSHA, etc...
โ€ข Other duties as assigned
