Our client is seeking an experienced Interior Project Manager to oversee multiple commercial interior construction projects across New York and New Jersey. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on construction professional who can independently manage projects from award through closeout while serving as a key liaison between clients, field teams, subcontractors, and leadership. Client Details Our client is a highly respected commercial interior subcontractor that has been delivering quality construction services throughout the New York and New Jersey markets for over 30 years. Founded by a veteran with nearly two decades of experience at leading general contractors, the company specializes in interiors construction including framing, drywall, carpentry, acoustical ceilings, painting, doors, and hardware installations. Description Project Management: Manage 5-10 commercial interior construction projects simultaneously, ranging from approximately $100K to $9 million in value. Schedule Management: Oversee all phases of project execution, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, subcontractor coordination, and project closeout. Team Leadership: Coordinate with field teams, clients, architects, consultants, vendors, and subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle. Safety Compliance: Develop and maintain project schedules while proactively mitigating risks, delays, and potential cost impacts. Quality Control: Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Documentation: Utilize project management and estimating software platforms, including Procore (preferred), and Bluebeam/OnScreen Takeoff where applicable. Profile 5-10+ years of commercial construction project management experience. Strong preference for experience within interior trades, including drywall, framing, carpentry, ceilings, painting, doors and hardware, or related interior construction scopes. Candidates from commercial general contracting backgrounds will also be considered, provided they possess strong knowledge of commercial construction sequencing and trade coordination. Demonstrated ability to independently manage multiple projects with minimal oversight. Strong understanding of project scheduling, budgeting, contract administration, and cost control. Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship management skills. Experience working on commercial, healthcare, hospitality, retail, or corporate interiors projects is highly desirable.
