About the Job

We are currently seeking a Project Manager with 12+ years of experience to join our New Orleans studio. This role will lead the management and delivery of architectural projects across all phases, serving as a key client contact while guiding project teams, overseeing project performance, and supporting successful project execution.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage architectural projects through all phases, from planning and design through construction administration and project closeout.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, contractors, and project stakeholders, fostering strong relationships and clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, workplans, staffing plans, and deliverable timelines to support successful project execution.
  • Monitor project scope, budget, schedule, profitability, and overall project performance, proactively identifying risks and resolving issues as they arise.
  • Prepare, review, and manage project documentation, including proposals, contracts, meeting materials, additional services requests, and consultant coordination documentation.
  • Support business development efforts through fee estimation, scope definition, proposal preparation, and client engagement activities.
  • Lead project coordination efforts related to client presentations, permitting and regulatory reviews, stakeholder engagement, and interdisciplinary consultant integration.
  • Oversee quality control processes to ensure project deliverables meet firm standards, client expectations, and applicable codes and regulations.
  • Support construction administration activities, including coordination with contractors, review of RFIs and submittals, and management of project changes.
  • Mentor and support project team members, fostering accountability, collaboration, and professional development.
  • Collaborate with firm leadership on project strategy, staffing, and resource planning across the studio.

Qualifications

Required

  • 12+ years architectural experience, with at least five (5) years of recent Project Manager experience.
  • Professional degree in architecture required and active license
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with full responsibility for scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Experience preparing proposals, fee estimates, scopes of work, and contracts.
  • Strong understanding of all project phases, including construction documentation and construction administration.
  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary consultant teams.
  • Proficiency in Revit and standard project management and communication software.

Preferred

  • Experience managing commercial, civic, institutional, higher education, multifamily, or mixed-use projects.
  • Familiarity with sustainable design practices and/or LEED accredited credentials.
  • Experience mentoring and developing junior staff.
  • Strong understanding of project financial management, including forecasting and fee tracking.
  • Experience participating in business development, client presentations, and interview processes.
  • Active professional, cultural and civic participation
