Job description

Malas Builders is looking for an experienced On-Site Superintendent to help manage interior fit-out work on an active multifamily construction project.

We are looking for someone who is hands-on, detail-oriented, organized, and production-driven. The right candidate should know how to push subcontractors, maintain quality, and keep the job moving without needing constant direction.

This role is ideal for someone with experience in multifamily, high-end residential, hotel, or interior fit-out construction.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily interior construction activities in the field
  • Coordinate subcontractors and push production to maintain schedule
  • Manage drywall, framing, doors, trim, kitchens, bathrooms, flooring, painting, finishes, punch list, and turnover work
  • Walk units and common areas daily to identify issues and keep work moving
  • Maintain quality control, especially on finish details
  • Track and close punch list items
  • Coordinate with ownership, project management, supers, subcontractors, inspectors, and vendors
  • Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized jobsite
  • Review drawings and field conditions to make sure work is being installed correctlyQualifications
  • Prior experience as a Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent
  • Strong interior fit-out and finish work experience
  • Multifamily, high-end residential, hotel, or luxury interior experience preferred
  • Ability to push subcontractors while maintaining professional relationships
  • Strong eye for detail and quality
  • Reliable, organized, and able to work full-time on-site
  • Must be comfortable walking the job daily and following up aggressively
