Metrie is hiring Machine Operator for Day Shifts (Mon-Fri, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM) for a brand-new facility in Orlando FL!

What will you be doing in the Machine Operator?

As the Machine Operator, you will have the opportunity to help our business meet production targets by consistently producing high-quality interior finishing products. This Machine Operator position will report directly to the Production Supervisor and will be a member of the Metrie Manufacturing team. The role will be based in our Orlando facility.

At a high-level, you will:

  • Produce products to meet work order specifications while meeting high standard of quality

  • Operate our machinery and equipment to the specifications of the manufacturer

  • Support plant continuous improvement initiatives

  • Ensure daily production continuously meets requirements of IFOTIS (In full, On Time, In Spec)

  • Participate in cross-training with other departments on the production line to further your skillsets

  • Understand and apply our health and safety policies and regulations

Available Shift: Monday to Friday 7:30AM to 4:30PM

Who You Are

You are an ideal candidate if you:

  • Have Prior Door machinery Operator Experience

  • Are comfortable operating machinery and standing/walking for long periods

  • Have a positive attitude, lead by example, and are respectful towards your team members

  • Understand the importance of health and safety at work and can follow instructions

Physical Demands

  •  Frequent: Walking

  • Occasional: Standing in the same location

  • Constant: Standing

  • Lifting: Floor to waist, waist to floor

  • Pushing / Pulling: Frequent when relocating production carts

  • Hand to eye coordination and dexterity: Picking, pinching, holding, grasping, and repetitive rotation
