Commercial Construction Superintendent – Lead High-Impact Projects with Rockport Construction Group

The Opportunity

You will serve as the primary on-site leader managing daily field operations for premier commercial developments across the DFW Metroplex. In this role, you will take direct ownership of sub-contractor scheduling, site safety, and quality assurance to deliver projects on time and within budget. How You Will Make an Impact:

  • Oversee all daily field construction operations from initial permitting through final punch list completion.
  • Schedule trade contractors, manage material deliveries, and maintain optimum project resource allocation.
  • Enforce strict quality control standards to ensure all workmanship aligns with design plans and specifications.
  • Interface directly with architects, project inspectors, city officials, and clients to resolve site issues swiftly.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and compliant job sites to maximize safety and operational efficiency.
  • Negotiate with trade partners to secure fair change order pricing and keep field costs controlled.


Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a commercial construction superintendent.
  • Demonstrated history managing interior finish-outs, medical facilities, retail, high-rise office, or warehouse builds.
  • Proven leadership capabilities with direct experience managing trade partners, field personnel, and site logistics.
  • Familiarity with local city building codes, permitting requirements, and inspection processes across the DFW Metroplex, with the ability to provide examples of successfully managing projects with differing municipal requirements.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and conflict-resolution skills in dynamic field environments.


Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Experience overseeing ground-up commercial construction projects (nice to have, not mandatory)
  • Proficiency with construction management software, specifically Sage Field Operations.
