What are Interior Designers?

Interior designers are professionals who plan, research, coordinate, and manage the design of interior spaces in homes, offices, and other buildings. Their work involves making spaces functional, safe, and aesthetically pleasing by determining space requirements and selecting decorative items, such as colors, lighting, and materials. Interior designers often collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure their designs are executed properly and comply with building codes and regulations. To excel as an Interior Designer, you need a solid background in design principles, spatial planning, and color theory, usually supported by a degree in interior design or a related field. Proficiency with design software like AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite, as well as knowledge of building codes and regulations, is typically required.
