David Weekley Homes is seeking a qualified Interior Designer who will play a pivotal role in the selection of interior finishes, furniture, color schemes, and space plans for our virtual model home tours. This is a unique opportunity to blend your passion for interior design to create visually captivating and functional home interiors that will engage and inspire prospective buyers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interior Selections: Curate and select interior materials and finishes (e.g., flooring, cabinetry, countertops, lighting, and fixtures) that align with David Weekley Homes’ design aesthetic and brand standards.
  • Space Planning: Create functional, flow-focused space plans that maximize the use of every room while maintaining a stylish and cohesive design.
  • Color Schemes: Develop color palettes and design themes that enhance the mood and functionality of each space, ensuring an inviting atmosphere for potential homeowners.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the 3D visualization team to bring design concepts to life in interactive, virtual home tours, ensuring all selections are accurately represented.
  • Trend Research: Stay up to date with the latest interior design trends, materials, and technology to ensure our 3D models remain fresh, innovative, and on-brand.
  • Customer Engagement: Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to understand client preferences, demographics, and needs, tailoring designs to enhance buyer appeal.
  • Quality Control: Ensure all selections, designs, and space plans adhere to David Weekley Homes' quality standards and functional requirements.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in residential interior design, preferably with a focus on homebuilding or model homes.
  • Proficiency with design software- AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, 3ds Max, and other relevant programs.
  • Strong understanding of space planning, color theory, and material finishes.
  • Strong eye for detail and aesthetic judgment.
  • Creative and innovative thinker with a passion for design.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and project management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
