Your impact

We are seeking an experienced Interiors Architect/Interior Designer to support the design and delivery of complex data center and mission critical facilities. This position will focus on the planning, design, and documentation of interior environments within hyperscale, colocation, enterprise, and critical infrastructure projects, including administration and office areas, control rooms, operations centers, training facilities, and data center spaces.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong architectural and interiors background, technical expertise, and a thorough understanding of workplace, operations, and support spaces that serve data center campuses. This individual will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create highly functional, secure, resilient, and occupant-focused environments while meeting demanding project schedules and client expectations.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Lead interior design efforts for mission critical and data center projects from programming through construction administration.
  • Develop space planning and interior design solutions for office, control room, operations center, security, collaboration, training, and employee amenity spaces within data center environments.
  • Create space plans, renderings, mood boards, and finish presentation materials.
  • Prepare and coordinate architectural construction documents, specifications, and technical details.
  • Select and specify finishes, furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E)
  • Coordinate finish selections, interior materials, wayfinding concepts, and workplace standards.
  • Participate in client meetings, programming sessions, design reviews, and stakeholder presentations.
  • Collaborate with architecture, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, security, and telecommunications disciplines.
  • Ensure designs comply with applicable building codes, accessibility requirements, life safety standards, and client design guidelines.
  • Support BIM coordination and multidisciplinary model reviews.
  • Review contractor submittals, RFIs, shop drawings, and field conditions during construction.
  • Perform site visits and construction observations to verify design intent and quality standards.
  • Mentor junior architects and designers while providing technical leadership throughout project execution.
  • Assist with proposal development, design pursuits, and client relationship activities.
Here’s what you’ll need
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or Interior Design from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 6 years of professional experience, including experience in interior architecture and/or interior design.
  • Proficiency in Revit and BIM-based project delivery.
  • Experience developing construction documents and technical detailing.
  • Strong understanding of building codes, ADA requirements, life safety standards, and architectural specifications.
  • Strong knowledge of FF&E specification and finish material selection
  • Ability to coordinate effectively within multidisciplinary engineering and design teams.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and client-facing skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
Ideally, you'll have
  • Licensed Architect (RA) with active registration, or NCIDQ certification.
  • Experience working on corporate, healthcare, higher education, workplace projects, or administration and support spaces for data center projects
  • Familiarity with mission critical design principles and high-security environments.
  • LEED Accredited Professional or experience with sustainable design initiatives.

The base salary range for this position is $102,900.00 to $141,500.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
