Job description

PDC is seeking a highly skilled Senior Interior Designer to independently manage and execute large-scale residential renovation projects.

This is a hands‑on role for an experienced designer who can take ownership, make decisions, solve problems, coordinate vendors and trades, and keep projects moving without constant direction. PDC intentionally maintains a limited project load of no more than two large-scale residential projects at one time.

The Senior Designer will collaborate with and help manage other interior designers and may eventually help hire and oversee a Design Assistant or Junior Designer.

  • Independently manage residential renovation projects from design development through installation
  • Lead kitchen and bath design, including cabinetry, plumbing, lighting, appliances, tile, stone, and related specifications
  • Develop space plans, finish selections, cabinetry concepts, and detailed design documentation
  • Prepare and review cabinetry elevations, millwork drawings, and shop drawings
  • Source finishes, fixtures, furnishings, and materials
  • Visit showrooms, stone yards, fabricators, vendor facilities, and project sites throughout Dallas
  • Coordinate directly with contractors, architects, vendors, consultants, and fabricators
  • Manage selections, schedules, proposals, purchase orders, procurement, delivery, and installation tracking
  • Identify problems, recommend solutions, and follow through without repeated direction
  • Maintain organized project documentation and outstanding-item tracking
  • Collaborate with and provide direction to another interior designer
  • Support other design, project‑management, and operational needs related to active projects as required
