Job description

180 Degrees Design + Build is seeking an Interior Designer to join our multidisciplinary design-build studio. We are looking for a curious, attentive and agile thinker who understands the iterative process of design and the detailed nature of technical execution. Our work spans high-end residential, hospitality, commercial, cultural and civic environments. This in-studio role offers the opportunity to shape projects from early development through construction, working closely with architects, consultants, builders, craftspeople, and clients. RESPONSIBILITIES Prepare and coordinate comprehensive construction documentation, including plans, reflected ceiling plans, elevations, sections, details, schedules, specifications, and custom millwork. Coordinate architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, lighting, and specialty consultant information. Research, evaluate, specify, and document interior finishes, materials, fixtures, lighting, furniture, artwork, and FF&E. Participate in client meetings, consultant coordination, site visits, field observations, submittal reviews, RFIs, shop drawings, and punch list activities. Assist with project scheduling, budgeting, consultant coordination, documentation, and overall project execution. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in interior design, interior architecture, or a related discipline. Approximately 6–8 years of professional design experience. Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, Revit, Rhino and Enscape. Solid understanding of construction documentation, detailing, building systems, materials, and construction practices. Strong organizational, communication, and independent critical thinking skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities while working within a multidisciplinary team. NCIDQ certification or actively pursuing. Experience with FF&E documentation, specifications and procurement.
