More unique uses of our products can be seen in military or security applications, for example in fighter jet canopies or bullet resistant windows. Requirements

Essential Job Duties

  • Ensure polymer resin preparation, material modifications, accurate data collection.
  • Accurately maintain process conditions and all other required paper work, or records.
  • Provide support to new product design and process development.
  • Provide technical assistance for the Polymer Processing group and Physical Testing Laboratory if needed.
  • Provide trouble-shooting techniques for processing a variety of resins types.
  • Perform minor mechanical repairs to lab equipment when needed.
  • Operate lab scale extruders, thermo-formers, etc.

Key Competencies, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Must have a high level of initiative with the ability to work independently. Skilled in customer centricity, collaboration, strong communication skills (both written and verbal), advanced critical thinking, problem solving skills, team leadership and participation. Ability to effectively analyze, problem solve, determine the best solution, and effectively implement idea (s) using creative thinking and technical knowledge.
  • Excellent written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work well with others in team environment. Attention to detail and follow-up is important. Reliable attendance and a can-do attitude are essential.

Education & Experience

  • Experience working with polymer materials and processes as described above.
  • HS Diploma, Associate’s degree, B.S. degree, or equivalent.
