About the Job

We are currently seeking a Senior Interior Designer with 8+ years of experience to join our New Orleans or DC studio. This role will lead interior design efforts across a range of project types, guiding projects from early concept development through construction while supporting team leadership, technical excellence, and client engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Lead interior design projects through all phases, from concept development through construction administration and occupancy.
  • Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal project teams to ensure alignment of project goals, design intent, schedule, budget, and technical requirements.
  • Develop and oversee high-quality design presentations, space planning studies, technical documentation, and coordinated construction document packages.
  • Ensure compliance with code and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate and integrate consultant work across multiple disciplines, including architectural, MEP, lighting, structural, acoustic, security, and hardware systems.
  • Develop FF&E, color palettes and material presentations from the conceptual phase through specifications.
  • Communicate conceptual design ideas through sketching, 3D modeling, rendering tools, and graphic storytelling methods.
  • Manage project workflow, schedules, deliverables, and team coordination to support successful project execution.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior designers across the studio.

Qualifications

Required

  • 8+ years of experience in an architecture or commercial interior design firm with a proven record of successful project completion.
  • Bachelor Degree in Interior Design or Architecture from an accredited institution.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Suite and Revit is required.

Preferred

  • Experience in Higher Education, Workplace, Hospitality, and/or Mixed-Use projects.
  • Licensure as a professional interior designer or architect.
  • LEED or WELL Accreditation
