Job description

DHospitality is a Hospitality Design & Furniture company specializing in a variety of hotel renovation and new-build projects in search of a new team member with experience in the field!

Starting rate range negotiable - depending on experience - with a performance review following a 90 day training / evaluation period.

Candidate must be open minded with a desire to learn and be a team player, with the ability to multi-task effectively.

This position offers a dynamic work environment providing great hands-on experience in all facets of the interior design process working on commercial/hospitality projects.

We are working on a number of large and well-known name brand hospitality projects, so it is a fantastic opportunity for you!

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have degree in Interior Design and/or Architecture - with interior design experience
  • Excellent knowledge of Illustrator, Photoshop, Indesign, AutoCAD, Revit & 3D Rendering (ie.3Ds Max)
  • Excellent writing/verbal communication skills
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Maintain industry knowledge in order to stay relevant
  • Create detailed and accurate designs and layouts for various projects
  • Meet/speak with client in order to understand the client's objectives and desires
  • Communicate effectively with client, vendors and team in order to address client's needs
  • Highly detail oriented with great organizational skills
  • The ability to multi-task and meet deadlines is key
  • Strong time management skills
  • Create quotes for clients and ensure full workflow is followed
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Responsiveness to clients' needs and directives
  • Strong creative and communication skills

Duties as listed, but not limited to:

  • Furniture/space configuration and design
  • Specification books
  • Color coordination
  • Sample material ordering/correspondence with vendors
  • Custom furniture shop drawings and specifying
  • Customer service & taking part answering phones as needed
  • Correspondence with clients and hotel brand representatives via email, and phone
  • Design presentation submittals to clients /their corporate offices, and the Hotel Brands
  • Graphics layouts
  • Assisted creation of purchasing / procurement files
  • Room matrices
  • Possible travel to project sites with another member of DH team (as needed, not required)
  • Build file / scope and quote building
  • Counts and Takeoffs to be used for purchasing & procurement
