Your Role

As a GenslerInterior Designer, your role is to combine creativity and technical knowledge with business skills and understanding to produce functionally beautiful spaces for clients. With you as part of the design team, interiors have never been so engaging.

What You Will Do

  • Lead interior design teams on projects while working closely with Design Director and Design Manager.
  • Collaborate oncommercial interiors projects, including developing a design strategy, programming client needs, conceptual and schematic design, design development, construction documents, and management of budgets and schedules.
  • Develop space planning concepts and generate program documents.
  • Lead, develop, and present schematic and design development design packages for client presentation/meetings
  • Lead selection ofcommercial furniture systems and specifications.
  • Provide project team coordination for finish plans, specifications, and material selections required for construction.
  • Work with consultants, furniture dealers, product reps, and fabricators to meet overall project objectives.
  • Guide the design and technical team on necessary design details and documentation to communicate design intent and provide information for bidding/pricing
  • Manage client expectations, team communication and consultant coordination.
  • Contribute to office activities, initiatives and learning programs.
  • Establish and maintain ongoing, productive client relationships.

Your Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience as an interior designer, with a focus oncommercial interiors.
  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture or related field from an accredited school.
  • Strong knowledge of the design process, including FF&E, furniture systems and specifications, products and materials.
  • Outstanding conceptual 3 dimensional thinking and graphic presentation skills.
  • Must be highly proficient in Revit and skills to include AutoCAD.
  • Strong knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, In Design and Sketch Up required; Rhino and 3D Studio Max preferred.
  • Flexibility to focus on concurrent projects in various stages of development.
  • Ability to communicate design ideas and direction quickly.
  • Strong leadership, organization, communication and relationship management skills.
  • Registered Architect or Interior Designer required
