Position Overview

We are hiring a Foreman for a full-time, on-site position. This role involves working on projects at various locations, such as Jasper, Banff, and other sites across Alberta, requiring travel as needed.

The Foreman will lead and execute physical labor tasks. Responsibilities include supervising the construction crew, managing worksite safety, and ensuring that tasks are executed to the highest quality standards under the direction of the Site Supervisor.

What We Offer

  • A work environment where safety is always the top priority.
  • Monthly employee appreciation events.
  • A dynamic corporate culture with room for growth.
  • Career development opportunities.
  • Exclusive employee discounts.
  • Access to top-tier health and medical programs.

Who You Are

  • The Expert: 2-5 years of commercial construction experience (retail, restaurant, hospitality), specifically in interior renovations and fit-outs.
  • The Multi-Tool: Skilled across interior framing, T-bar/ceiling grid systems, drywall installation, flooring/tile, expert-level mudding & taping, and architectural millwork/carpentry.
  • The Professional: Carpentry background or currently enrolled in an apprenticeship; formal trade schooling is a major asset.
  • The Reader: Able to read and interpret construction drawings and work orders accurately.
  • The Leader: Proven ability to supervise crews, coordinate tasks, and keep projects moving — with strong communication skills to collaborate with coworkers and subcontractors.
  • The Traveler: Valid Driver's License and willing to travel within Alberta for projects.
  • Physically Ready: Capable of labor-intensive work requiring strength, stamina, and focus.
  • Strong understanding of construction safety standards, with the ability to identify and mitigate on-site hazards.
  • A forward thinker who takes ownership, overcomes obstacles with resilience, and is deeply committed to quality workmanship.
  • Bonus: Experience with heritage/historical building renovations, high-end commercial interiors, or luxury hospitality projects (e.g., 5-star hotels).

Key Responsibilities

Construction & Site Execution

  • Execute and oversee T-bar/ceiling grid installations and metal stud/rough framing.
  • Perform high-standard mudding, taping, and sanding for paint-ready finishes.
  • Install various flooring types, tile, and architectural millwork/carpentry.
  • Carry out painting, sanding, waterproofing, and concrete finishing as needed.
  • Prep sites by clearing hazards and setting up tools and materials; assemble scaffolding, shoring, and braces.
  • Assist with demolition and material handling.

Leadership & Site Coordination

  • Supervise and guide crews, ensuring quality work is completed on schedule.
  • Work alongside the Site Supervisor to coordinate trades, communicate challenges, and propose solutions.
  • Collaborate with subcontractors and other trades for efficient task completion.

Safety & Compliance

  • Lead by example — maintain a clean, organized, hazard-free job site.
  • Enforce and wear required PPE; ensure all team members follow site safety practices.
  • Identify, mitigate, and promptly report hazards or safety concerns to the Site Supervisor.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in commercial construction (retail/restaurant/hospitality), focused on interior renovations.
  • Valid Driver's License and willingness to travel within Alberta.
  • Strong knowledge of Alberta Building Codes and construction safety protocols.
  • Required certifications: WHMIS, Working at Heights, and First Aid.
  • Bonus: Journeyman ticket or Red Seal in Carpentry or Drywall Finishing.

What We Value:

  • admire constructive thinkers.
  • value trust and transparency.
  • believe it's the little details that make for an exceptional customer experience.
