Job description


North America Central is hiring School Bus Drivers to safely transport middle school students in the Paola, KS area.

No experience? No CDL? No problem. We provide paid training, ongoing support, and a clear path to a stable, rewarding role.



Pay & Benefits
  • Pay: $19.00 – $24.80 per hour (based on experience)
  • Free CDL training – no experience required
  • Up to $3,000 hiring bonus

Key Responsibilities
  • Safely transport students and passengers on assigned routes (regular, spare, or charter)
  • Operate vehicles with both manual and automatic transmissions
  • Read and follow route sheets, maps, and street signs
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, including required child safety checks
  • Assist students with boarding and exiting the bus
  • Maintain a safe, orderly, and respectful environment on the bus
  • Communicate effectively with school staff, parents, and students
  • Attend required safety meetings and training sessions
  • Conduct emergency evacuations when necessary
  • Clean and maintain the bus interior and exterior windows
  • Perform additional duties as required

Requirements
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Valid driver’s license for at least 3 years
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to obtain a CDL with required endorsements
  • Ability to pass background check and drug screening
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work early morning hours
  • Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
