As a Cake Decorator II, you’ll utilize your creative talents to craft stunning desserts for special occasions, ensuring that each product meets the highest standards of quality and guest satisfaction.

Our bakery plays a pivotal role in crafting unforgettable experiences for guests' events and everyday moments alike, ranging from special occasions to everyday indulgences.


What You'll Do:

As a Cake Decorator at Festival Foods, your responsibilities will include:

  • Provide Exceptional Guest Service: Providing excellent guest service is at the heart of what we do.  Whether it’s a friendly greeting, answering questions or addressing guest concerns, you’ll handle each interaction with professionalism and care. Your willingness to help guests with what they need will make a positive impact every day. 
  • Artistic Cake Decoration: Top, finish, and decorate a variety of bakery products, including bars, pies, cookies, doughnuts, cupcakes, and cakes.
  • Create Eye-Catching Displays: Drive sales by creating visually appealing and attractive bakery items that catch the eye of our guests.
  • Exceed Guest Expectations: Deliver beautiful, creative, and uniquely decorated special orders that align with each guest’s specific requests.
  • Reduce Shrink: Minimize waste by reducing mistakes and using the appropriate quantity of icing and other supplies.
  • Stock Management: Fill, rotate, and remove decorated products from the sales floor and service case, ensuring displays are always fresh and appealing.
  • Production Planning: Plan production tasks to ensure an adequate supply of back stock is available to replenish the sales floor and service case as products are sold.
  • Freshness Maintenance: Maintain product freshness by rotating stock, ensuring closer-dated products are sold first, and removing outdated or unacceptable items from sale.
  • Guest Interaction: Provide excellent customer service by assisting guests with finding items, taking orders for cakes and special requests, and working with them to create their vision for a product.
  • Telephone Assistance: Answer phone calls with proper etiquette, providing guests with the information or assistance they need.
  • Team Support: Reinforce Festival culture, guest service, and performance expectations within the department, supporting your team as needed.
  • Supply Management: Maintain adequate levels of supplies in the cake decorating area, replenishing packaging, icing, decorative accents, and other necessary items.
  • Department Contribution: Assist other areas of the bakery department as available and requested, contributing to overall department goals and objectives.
  • Cleanliness: Contribute to the overall cleanliness of the department by picking up, organizing, and cleaning work areas, shelving, and the sales floor.
  • Food Safety: Maintain food safety logs and ensure all quality standards are met, including quantity expectations at 100% by 10 am and 5 pm.
  • Honor Commitments: Regular, timely attendance in compliance with the work schedule, and adequate notice to find a replacement for occasional absences
  • Support the Team: Other duties as assigned
