Job Title: Interior Designer / Architectural Design Coordinator

Job Summary:
We are seeking a creative, detail-oriented Interior Designer / Architectural Design Coordinator to support clients through residential new construction and remodeling projects. This role combines interior design, architectural planning support, project coordination, and showroom management. The ideal candidate is highly organized, design-driven, and capable of guiding projects from concept through completion.

Key Responsibilities

Interior Design & Client Services

  • Consult with clients to understand their vision, lifestyle needs, budget, and design preferences
  • Develop design concepts, mood boards, and space plans for new builds and remodeling projects
  • Select and specify materials, finishes, cabinetry, lighting, plumbing fixtures, flooring, and color schemes
  • Prepare and present design proposals and selections to clients
  • Stay current on design trends, products, and industry best practices

Architectural Design & Planning

  • Assist with residential architectural design and layout development
  • Create and revise floor plans, elevations, and construction drawings
  • Collaborate with architects, builders, engineers, and contractors throughout the design and construction process
  • Review plans and specifications to ensure functionality, accuracy, and design consistency
  • Assist in coordinating project details, permitting information, and construction documentation
  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress and address design-related issues

Project Coordination

  • Assist with project timelines, scheduling, and material tracking
  • Coordinate design selections and installation schedules
  • Communicate regularly with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders to ensure projects remain on track
  • Help resolve design and construction challenges as they arise

Showroom Management

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing showroom
  • Meet with vendors to source and introduce new products and materials
  • Curate and update showroom displays to reflect current offerings and trends
  • Manage and maintain the showroom inventory system
  • Ensure samples, materials, and product information are organized and up to date

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience in residential interior design, architectural drafting, or remodeling projects preferred
  • Proficiency in design and drafting software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Strong understanding of residential construction methods, materials, and space planning
