Job Summary
As a Training Specialist I, you will be crucial in ensuring that our Global Reservations team members are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and competencies necessary to deliver exceptional service to our guests. In this role, you will design, develop, and deliver comprehensive training programs that align with our luxury brand standards and The Ritz-Carlton's "Gold Standards."
Key Responsibilities
  • Create story-driven, detailed training content that includes storytelling techniques, expert insights, interactive exercises, and sales scripts to enhance guest interactions.
  • Develop extensive, interactive sales training programs, including role-play exercises, quizzes, and relevant video links, incorporating luxury branding principles.
  • Design a multi-phase onboarding program with themed weeks, personal touches, interactive learning activities, and continuous support mechanisms.
  • Conduct training sessions for new hires and ongoing training for existing staff, ensuring all training aligns with The Ritz-Carlton's "Gold Standards."
  • Facilitate micro-learning sessions that break down complex training topics into concise, interactive, and engaging modules.
  • Write a detailed playbook for training sales coaches, including coaching scripts, checklists, feedback tools, and insights from top sales literature and luxury service standards.
  • Develop a plan to collect feedback, analyze training outcomes, and make improvements based on insights.
  • Convert training content into user-friendly, interactive PDF documents with embedded links and multimedia elements.
  • Ensure all training materials are updated regularly to reflect changes in policies, procedures, and industry best practices.
  • Work closely with various departments to ensure training programs meet the needs of different roles and functions.
  • Provide continuous support mechanisms and feedback loops to optimize training effectiveness.

Qualifications
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Training and Development, or a related field

Skills and Experience:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in training and development, preferably in the hospitality or luxury service industry
  • Proven expertise in designing and delivering training programs
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design models
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and coaching skills
  • Familiarity with Salesforce and/or learning management systems (LMS) is a plus
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities

Work Environment
  • This position begins with a 6-week onsite training period in Fort Lauderdale, FL. After successful completion of training, the role will move to a hybrid schedule consisting of 2 WFH days and 3 in-office days per week.
