Job description

Employer: IMTC Title: Engineering Manager (Full-Time) Location: Hybrid, New York City (Midtown) The Company IMTC is the leading tech provider serving the fixed income market. Asset and wealth managers, trust companies, RIAs, broker-dealers, and ETF issuers use our platform to construct portfolios, manage orders, monitor risk and compliance, and execute trades, all in one system connected to live market data and a broad network of integration partners. Fixed income is one of the largest asset classes in the world and one of the least modernized. Most firms still run bond portfolios on a combination of spreadsheets and legacy systems that were built decades ago. IMTC replaces those tools with intelligent optimization and automation that empower investment managers act on thousands of accounts simultaneously, with the accuracy and audit trail that compliance teams and regulators demand. Our clients use IMTC to scale operations, launch new products, and grow revenue without adding headcount. Our journey has evolved from integration to optimization to automation, and now to AI. We are actively embedding AI throughout the platform, from anomaly detection to the delivery of an AI co-pilot covering all investment workflow serving sophisticated buy-side firms. IMTC is headquartered in New York City with engineering teams across the US, Europe, and South America. The Opportunity IMTC is looking for an ambitious self-starter to play a key role in the growth of our rapidly expanding company. This is a rare opportunity to join a dynamic, forward-thinking team and make a meaningful impact as we revolutionize fixed income portfolio and order management. You will be part of a team designing and developing advanced cloud solutions on MS Azure, with a foundation in agile working methods, DevOps, and Test-Driven Development. Given the frequency of our product releases, we have developed a toolbox of agile development practices which allow our Dev Team to release code in a highly dynamic flow. This means you can expect to see your own code in production during your first week on the job, whether you’re at the beginning of your career or with several years of experience. Your role will be to both manage the team and bring your excellent technical capacity to bear on the quality of the product. Reporting directly to the CTO you will collaborate with the engineering manager in Copenhagen and the Principal Engineer in NYC. 1 / 3 In addition to deploying continuous releases into production, automation is central to our development pipeline – everything from unit tests to integration tests, UI tests, and performance tests. As such, we avoid repetitive processes and in turn foster innovation and creativity. With this comes faster, higher-quality solutions and a greater business value. And, you will have the opportunity to learn from and work with seasoned technologists to effect real change in an industry ripe for disruption. As IMTC accelerates its AI-enabled roadmap, this role will be central to embedding intelligent capabilities across the platform — from leveraging AI tools within the development workflow itself to helping shape how machine learning and large language models can enhance portfolio decision-making for our clients. The ideal candidate is not only technically strong but genuinely excited about what AI makes possible in fixed income. Responsibilities: • Work with the Product, Implementation, and Client Success teams to ideate client- driven software solutions • When new or complex features are created, you are at the forefront, driving the development team forward • Collaborate with product and engineering leadership to identify and prioritize opportunities for embedding AI/ML capabilities into the platform (e.g., intelligent portfolio optimization, anomaly detection, predictive analytics) • Daily manager for the development team in the Americas • Ensure proper automated testing of code Qualifications: • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science • 7+ years of experience within software development Minimum 3 years of experience leading software teams o • Experience with Fixed Income workflows • Ability to deeply understand complex business flows • Driven to writing extensible and testable code • Mastery of C# • Desire to work with the latest technologies in Azure and .NET Core • Interest in an agile setup, where demands and direction are ever-changing while co-determination and freedom are paramount • Familiarity with AI/ML integration patterns in cloud-native applications (Azure ML, OpenAI APIs, or similar) • Experience evaluating and implementing LLM-based tooling to enhance developer productivity and product capabilities • Curiosity and hands-on engagement with emerging AI technologies and their practical application in financial software What we offer: 110 East 42nd Street, Suite 805 New York, NY 10017 | imtc.com 2 / 3 • Exciting, fast-paced work environment • Opportunity to assist in the development of next generation software • Opportunity to explore ground-breaking ideas in cloud computing, optimization, and automation • Chance to contribute meaningfully at a pivotal moment in the company’s growth • Collaborative and team-oriented startup culture • Competitive compensation and benefits To apply, please send your resume to careers@IMTC.com. IMTC is committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all employees, including qualified employment applicants. The company strives to maintain an environment free of discrimination based on race, color, religion, gender, national origin, ancestry, age, disability, genetic information, military or veteran status, marital status, sexual orientation, citizenship, or any other protected category or characteristics as defined by federal, state or local laws.
