What You'll Do
  • Responsible for the safety of all children in classrooms ranging from ages 6 weeks to 5 years old.
  • Plan and implement activities that promote the social, physical, and intellectual growth of children.
  • Responsible for the care, hygiene, diapering, learning, and developmental activities, and specialized programs.
  • Communicate directly with parents regarding their child’s accomplishments and daily activities.
  • Maintain classroom records, cleanliness, and orderliness to align with state regulations and standards.
  • Demonstrated skill in early childhood curriculum and implementation.
  • Actively engaged with the children at all times while serving as a role model through appearance and actions.
  • Provide a loving and nurturing environment for all children.
  • Develop opportunities to positively impact children’s self-esteem.
  • Maintain an environment (both indoors and outdoors) that is safe, clean, and inviting.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent mandatory.
  • Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education and/or CDA preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education is highly desired.
  • Must meet or exceed state licensing requirements for age, education, and experience.
  • 1+ years of early childhood education experience desired.
  • 1+ years of experience working with infants and/or toddlers desired.
  • Ability to be flexible in assignments and work hours.
  • Ability to work on their feet for long periods of time, easily get up and down off the floor, and lift up to 35 pounds.
