Job description

Job Title: Field Service Technician I
Location: Stone Mountain, GA 30087
Duration: 6 Months
 

Schedule:

Rotating shifts: Monday–Thursday or Tuesday–Friday (based on site needs)

Hours: 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Overtime may be required

The 5th day may be used as a make-up day (due to weather or absences)

Onsite interview required

Job Summary:

We’re looking for Field Service Technicians to support the maintenance and operation of valves and fire hydrants in an outdoor environment. This is an entry-level role ideal for candidates with at least 1 year of hands-on experience and an interest in the water utility industry.

You’ll be responsible for operating, inspecting, and maintaining equipment safely while keeping worksites clean and organized.

Water System Experience – Experience with valves, hydrants, or similar equipment preferred.

Core Responsibilities:

Assist with assembling and disassembling tools and equipment.

Clean and organize job sites and work areas.

Participate in daily safety meetings and follow all safety procedures.

Load and secure tools and materials safely for travel.

Perform basic inspections and maintenance on-site.

Complete Job Safety Assessments before each task.

Follow PPE and company safety guidelines.

Support team projects and help maintain a safe, efficient workspace.

Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED.

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (must pass MVR and DOT screening).

Ability to lift and move equipment as needed.

Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.

Must wear lace-up, steel-toe leather boots (6” or higher).

Basic computer and communication skills.

Experience in the water, utility, or construction industry is a plus.
