Job description

Role: Field Operator II
Location: Thomasville, Georgia - 31792
Duration: 06 Months

Shift Hours: 7:00 am- 5:30 pm. 10 hours/day, 7 days a week, while traveling in most cases
PPE: Safety Boots are required on day one.
Summary of Role:
The Field Operator is responsible for processing raw materials and fabricating semi-complex parts in accordance with engineered drawings, tolerances, and operating requirements. This role requires proficiency in welding, blueprint interpretation, troubleshooting, and performing field construction activities. The Field Operator will work outdoors in various environments to deliver high-quality fabricated components that meet customer and project specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Follow all workplace safety policies, quality standards, and company guidelines.
Perform FCAW, GMAW, and SMAW welding on A36 and 304LSS materials from engineered blueprints in outdoor environments.
Interpret engineered drawings, apply weld symbols and dimensions, follow red-line processes, and recommend modifications or improvements when needed.
Troubleshoot and repair equipment and machinery failures.
Perform duties associated with Senior Field Construction Technician responsibilities.
Operate hand and power tools including grinders, chipping hammers, and other standard equipment.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including daily housekeeping/5S audits.
Collaborate with supervisors, managers, and peers to ensure timely and accurate completion of quality products.
Submit weekly per diem expense

Education & Experience Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum of 2 years of relevant welding or field construction experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience with FCAW, GMAW, and SMAW welding from blueprints.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately.
Hands-on experience with hand and power tools.
Must be able to obtain AWS certifications (training provided).
Ability to execute construction-related activities and pass hydro testing weld requirements.
Additional Requirements
Travel: 100% (role is field-based).
Must be able to drive a company vehicle.
Ability to complete OSHA 10 requirements.
Ability to obtain a TWIC card.
