Schedule: Full-Time (40 Hours/Week), Every other weekend and holiday rotation

Shift: Midnights

**GENERAL SUMMARY**

Ready to lead a dynamic security team? As a Security Leader, you'll be the go-to person orchestrating our security operations and keeping our Henry Ford Health System facilities running smoothly and safely. You'll work under general supervision to energize and guide our security personnel, ensuring we've got the right people in the right places at the right times.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**

  • **Build and Manage Your Team**: Create work rosters and strategically assign security personnel to guarantee solid coverage across the hospital—no gaps, no surprises!
  • **Keep Everyone in the Loop**: Dive into security reports and incidents daily, then share the important intel with your team at roll call to keep everyone sharp and informed.
  • **Plan Like a Pro**: Arrange special security coverage for events and unique situations, thinking ahead to keep our community safe and secure.
  • **Protect What Matters**: Monitor Henry Ford Health System facilities and properties to prevent loss of property and injury to our patients, visitors, employees, and everyone who walks through our doors.
  • **Lead with Confidence**: Inspire and motivate your security team to deliver exceptional service while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and safety.
Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:  

  • Associate’s degree in security administration, Criminal Justice, or related field and 1- 2 years progressively responsible hospital security experience. 
  • OR 

    3 to 5 years of hospital security experience with demonstrated leadership ability, field training responsibilities, acting leadership assignments, or equivalent operational experience. 

  • Requires the job knowledge, skills and abilities of an HFH Security Officer/Security Police Officer or the equivalent in work experience and must have currently received a satisfactory or above performance review in all areas. 
  • Completion of IAHSS Supervisory and Safety training programs within the first year. 
  • Must demonstrate strong management and communications capabilities. 
  • Must display excellent customer service skills and behaviors as outlined in the HFH Customer Service Policy. 
  • Work requires interpersonal skills that key in on quality customer service initiatives along with the leadership skills necessary to supervise assigned personnel.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED: 

  • Certification under public act 330 within the first year of performing this role or at the first offered classes in the tri-county area.
