Job Title: Manufacturing Process EngineerJob DescriptionThe Manufacturing Process Engineer is responsible for designing, integrating, improving, and sustaining manufacturing systems and related processes. This role is pivotal in driving continuous improvement, supporting OEM and aftermarket production, and providing technical leadership across machining, tooling, quality, and supplier interfaces. The position includes supervision of technicians and support staff while collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams.
Responsibilities
- Design, improve, and sustain manufacturing processes.
- Drive process improvement and cost reduction initiatives.
- Troubleshoot manufacturing issues related to design, materials, tooling, or processes.
- Provide technical leadership across machining, tooling, quality, and supplier interfaces.
- Supervise technicians and support staff.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams.
Essential Skills- Strong understanding of fabrication, machining, assembly, and production workflows.
- Extensive hands-on knowledge of fixture design, tool & die manufacturing, surface grinding, turning, milling, and precision grinding.
- Deep understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent CAD software.
- Experience using statistical and root-cause analysis methods.
- Strong analytical skills to evaluate alternatives and implement optimal solutions.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Associate’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field plus 5+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proven background in process improvement, manufacturing optimization, quality control, and cost reduction.
- Experience in Aerospace, Can Tooling, or Medical manufacturing environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering is preferred.
- Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement experience is preferred.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of North Canton, OH.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $43.00 - $48.08/hr.
