How will you fit in the big picture?
The Hershey Company's Memphis plant is a high-speed manufacturing facility producing iconic brands including Ice Breakers, Breath Savers, and Good & Plenty. As the Asset Data Integration & Intelligence Leader, you will play a critical role in advancing plant performance through digital manufacturing technologies, real-time analytics, and asset intelligence solutions.
This role partners closely with plant operations, reliability, quality, EHS, engineering, and corporate manufacturing teams to develop digital asset twins, integrate machine and process data, and deliver actionable insights that improve equipment reliability, process performance, and business results. You will leverage the AVEVA PI System, industrial control systems, and data visualization tools to help drive Hershey's digital manufacturing journey in the Sweetest Place on Earth.
What will you do?
  • Lead plant asset data integration initiatives, ensuring critical machine and process data is captured, validated, and structured within the PI Asset Framework.
  • Partner with plant and corporate manufacturing pillar leaders to develop digital asset twins and scalable asset intelligence solutions.
  • Design and support PI Vision dashboards, PI DataLink reports, and analytics that provide real-time visibility into equipment health, quality, and operational performance.
  • Develop asset framework analyses, calculations, and statistical models that enable data-driven decision making and continuous improvement.
  • Support capital projects by ensuring machine data integration standards are incorporated during design, testing, commissioning, and startup.
  • Maintain and administer plant PI System infrastructure, including servers, applications, and historian configurations to ensure data availability and system reliability.
  • Collaborate with Corporate Engineering, IS resources, and AVEVA support teams to troubleshoot issues, perform system health checks, and drive continuous improvements.
  • Help define and implement enterprise standards for asset intelligence, data structures, and digital manufacturing solutions.
  • Train and coach manufacturing personnel on dashboards, reporting tools, and value-added digital solutions that improve plant performance.
  • Champion innovation while ensuring compliance with safety, quality, cybersecurity, and engineering standards.
Minimum Education & Requirements
Experience:
  • 3+ years of relevant engineering, controls, manufacturing systems, automation, industrial data integration, or related experience.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing operations in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Experience with industrial control systems, PLCs, SCADA/HMI platforms, networking, or manufacturing data systems.
  • Experience using data analysis, visualization, reporting, or dashboard solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to support multiple projects and deliver business-focused technical solutions.
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Automation, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Manufacturing Technology, or a related technical field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with AVEVA PI System (PI AF, PI Vision, PI DataLink, and related tools).
  • Knowledge of industrial communication protocols including OPC, MQTT, Modbus, Ethernet/IP, and Profinet.
  • Experience with PLC programming, particularly Rockwell Studio 5000.
  • Familiarity with data historians, virtualization, server environments, and SQL.
  • Continuous Improvement experience using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
  • Strong troubleshooting, collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to translate complex technical information into practical business value for manufacturing teams.
