As anEquipment Maintenance Technicianwithin Intel's Sort Test Technology Development (STTD) organization in Arizona, you will play a vital hands-on role in ensuring the seamless operation of advanced semiconductor manufacturing equipment. This is anonsite positionthat places you at the heart of Intel's cutting-edge fabrication environment, where your expertise will directly contribute to equipment reliability, production efficiency, and continuous improvement initiatives. For this position, you will work on Shift 6: (nights backend) PM-AM Wed-Fri and alternating Saturday nights.

You will work alongside talented engineers and technicians, performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and calibration of complex electromechanical systems, while supporting experiments and equipment modifications that push the boundaries of semiconductor manufacturing technology. Your contributions will have a direct and measurable impact on Intel's global manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform electrical and mechanical troubleshootingto accurately diagnose and resolve issues with advanced semiconductor manufacturing equipment.

  • Execute setup, calibration, and preventative/corrective maintenanceon production equipment, including wet chemistry, plating, and dry high-vacuum toolsets.

  • Monitor tool performance and analyze datato proactively identify equipment-related issues and implement effective solutions.

  • Collaborate with engineering and cross-functional support teamsto improve equipment reliability, minimize downtime, and drive performance improvements.

  • Document all maintenance activities, repair findings, and parts usage accurately using established systems and procedures.

  • Lead or contribute to continuous improvement projects, with a focus on equipment optimization and yield enhancements.

  • Support cleanroom operationswhile strictly adhering to safety protocols and maintaining full cleanroom attire at all times.

  • Provide engineering evaluationof equipment and quality issue escalations, particularly during off-shift hours when the Module Engineer is unavailable.

  • Design and develop relevant tooling and fixtures, partnering with engineering on repair development procedures to ensure manufacturability.

  • Support new equipment installations, sustaining activities, and process improvement initiatives in collaboration with engineering teams.

As a TRB Engineering Equipment Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of advanced manufacturing equipment used in semiconductor production. You will perform hands-on troubleshooting, maintenance, and calibration of electromechanical systems while supporting experiments and equipment modifications that drive cutting-edge advancements. Your work will directly contribute to enhancing equipment reliability and optimizing production efficiency, making an essential impact on Intel's manufacturing operations.

Qualifications:

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. This Position is not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship.

Minimum Qualifications:

Candidates must meetat least oneof the following requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field with 1+ years of relevant experience

  • Associate degree in a technical field with 2+ years of equipment maintenance experience

  • High School Diploma/GED with 4+ years of hands-on manufacturing experience

  • High School Diploma/GED with 4+ years of military technical experience

  • High School Diploma/GED with 2.5+ years of equipment maintenance or closely related technical experience
