The scope of our work includes but is not limited to New Wafer Fabrication factories (Fabs), Fab Conversions, Process Tools Install, Infrastructure, and Progressive Build. As a key member of the Project Execution Team, the Area Coordinator is an individual contributor reporting to the Tool Install Department Manager. A key to this role will be close engagement with customers, stakeholders and partners as well as leadership of the site project execution team.
This is an onsite position in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This role will require leading teams to solve site TIQ constraints, Scheduling Issues, and leading Task Forces when required. It will require regular on-site engagement with stakeholders as well as virtually working with others across sites.
As an Area Coordinator in FCS Tool Install your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Tool Demo, Conversion and Installation up to Supplier Qualification; from Design through construction, install to SL2SO. Support the DM and Functional Area Teams on delivering project key success indicators for safety, quality, scope, schedule and budget of the area.
  • This role will mentor, develop, direct and influence a team of Engineers and Technicians directly and in a matrix environment, providing guidance on employee development, performance, and productivity issues.
  • Represent local FCS site in CTI and VF forums where needed. Interface with Foundry customers, Suppliers and Contractors to meet scope needs and resolve issues.
  • Interact with CTI/VF counterparts routinely to enable CE aspects and other BKMs for tool installs scope and facility preparation activities.
  • Facilitate taskforces, AARs, Lean initiatives in pursuit of continuous improvement in FCS processes. Uses judgment on a variety of problems requiring deviation from standard practices.
  • Foster innovation and transform traditional construction practices by driving new methods and engineering solutions through leveraging industry insights.
  • Flexibility to work across the various areas within Tool Install, taking on additional horizontal scope as required to meet needs of the project/program.
  • Develop skills and capabilities to assume ownership of TI PM responsibilities where needed in preparation for increased site project workload as the site develops its Intel Foundry capacity.
  • Build and drive safety culture of caring in every business environment, office to the construction sites, and from front-end planning to construction and tool commissioning execution.
  • Partner with assigned engineering modules to ensure alignment and execution meets Intel priorities, providing clear feedback to both.

  • Role model safety and quality for new tool installations across construction, suppliers, and IQ personnel. Leverage JHA/FMEA business processes for proactive safety/quality risk identification and prevention plans, and 8D learnings for unforeseen incident reviews.
Qualifications:

The Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Minimum qualifications listed below would be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experience and / or schoolwork/classes/research. The preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Architecture or other related technical field
  • 3+ years of demonstrated project or program management in large scale construction or factory tool install/qual ramp experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the installation and demolition of process tool equipment.
  • Experience with Intel IQ systems (e.g. EMS, AIO, SIRFIS, 6D, Fuzion, QUEST, Capacity Planning, Procurement, Safety Level Signoffs).
  • Experience in 3rd Party supplier management and coordination of day-to-day operations.
  • Professional Project Manager (PMP), Lean or 6-Sigma certification
