Job description

Hospice Clinical Manager (Clinical Leader) Location

Springfield, Missouri

Schedule and Work Model
  • Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

  • Primarily office-based role in the Integrity Missouri Springfield Hospice office

  • Relocation assistance may be available for the right candidate

Compensation
  • Anticipated compensation of $88,000-$95,000 annually, based on experience

  • Flexibility to increase the compensation range for an exceptionally qualified candidate with the right leadership and hospice experience

Overview

At BAYADA Integrity Hospice, we believe our clients and their families deserve home health care delivered with compassion, excellence, and reliability. As a Hospice Clinical Manager supporting our Integrity Missouri Springfield Hospice team, you will serve as a key clinical leader for field staff and play an essential role in supporting high-quality end-of-life care.

Although this position is titled Clinical Manager, we are truly seeking a Clinical Leader: a strong hospice or palliative care professional who can guide clinical practice, support clinicians, strengthen quality systems, and help lead a busy team through complex patient and operational needs.

This opportunity is ideal for an experienced RN leader who brings sound clinical judgment, a steady presence under pressure, and a passion for mentoring teams and delivering exceptional care to patients and families.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead and support the clinical management of hospice field staff

  • Provide day-to-day clinical guidance, oversight, coaching, and problem solving

  • Help ensure safe, appropriate, and timely patient care delivery

  • Facilitate and participate in interdisciplinary group (IDG) meetings and care planning

  • Support hospice admissions and help ensure a strong clinical start of care

  • Oversee clinical documentation, case conference activity, recertification planning, and care coordination workflows

  • Review clinical needs, utilization, patient progression, and discharge planning in partnership with the care team

  • Participate in hospice surveys and help prepare the team for regulatory review

  • Support QAPI activities, performance improvement initiatives, and quality monitoring

  • Promote compliance with hospice regulations, standards, policies, and clinical best practices

  • Support a high-acuity hospice environment with strong hospital referral activity, short lengths of stay, and General Inpatient care volume

  • Collaborate closely with office leadership and interdisciplinary partners to support quality outcomes and operational priorities

  • Participate in administrative on-call for seven consecutive days approximately every fifth week

  • Travel within the service area as needed for field support and visits

What Makes This Role Unique

This is a highly engaged hospice leadership role supporting a busy practice. The team works in a dynamic joint venture environment with a high volume of hospital discharges and a fast-paced clinical workflow. Success in this role requires strong hospice knowledge, leadership presence, regulatory awareness, and the ability to support field clinicians in real time.

The right candidate will be comfortable moving between clinical coaching, patient care oversight, admissions, quality improvement, survey readiness, and regulatory compliance. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on both patient outcomes and team performance.

Qualifications Required
  • Active Registered Nurse license in MO

  • Solid clinical background in hospice or palliative care

  • Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to guide, coach, and influence clinical teams

  • Experience facilitating or participating in interdisciplinary groups, hospice admissions, QAPI, hospice surveys, and regulatory compliance activities

  • Strong clinical judgment and understanding of hospice care delivery

  • High level of comfort with technology, including EMR systems (HCHB) and Microsoft Office tools

  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and listen thoughtfully before reacting

  • Strong critical thinking, prioritization, and multitasking skills

Preferred
  • Prior hospice clinical manager, hospice administrator, or hospice leadership experience

  • Experience leading or supporting hospice survey preparation and regulatory readiness

  • Field hospice experience combined with leadership and management experience

  • Experience working in a high-acuity, high-volume hospice or palliative care environment

What Success Looks Like
  • In the first 30 days, you will build familiarity with the field environment, patient population, team workflows, and clinical leadership expectations through field-based training

  • By 60 days, you will be immersed in clinical manager training and broader office leadership responsibilities

  • By 90 days, you will begin functioning more independently as a clinical leader with continued leadership support and oversight

Growth Opportunity

This role offers a meaningful path for professional growth, including future potential to advance into a Director of Hospice Operations position with demonstrated success, leadership impact, and experience.

Who Thrives Here

The strongest candidates are calm, accountable, and highly collaborative. They bring hospice or palliative care expertise, listen carefully, think critically, and can balance multiple priorities without becoming overwhelmed. They are comfortable leading through change, supporting clinicians in complex situations, and creating a culture of quality, compliance, and compassionate care.

Why BAYADA Integrity Hospice

At BAYADA Integrity Hospice, you’ll join an organization grounded in purpose and guided by compassion, excellence, and reliability. You’ll be part of a team that supports one another, values clinical leadership, and remains deeply committed to delivering meaningful care to patients and families when it matters most.
