Your Opportunity
The primary role of the Manager - Integrity Management Programs (IMP) is to lead a focused team of professionals that work on a variety of integrity management and maintenance program activities such as: developing IMP documents, developing risk assessment programs; developing data management systems, utilizing fitness for service results to make integrity decisions, auditing IMP systems and records, developing and reviewing safety and reliability management systems. The clients cover numerous sectors including: Energy, Mining, Power Utility, Municipal Infrastructure, and Military.
The Manager - IMP shall ensure quality work, technical excellence and the optimum use of personnel, including monitoring utilization targets of team members, and establishing resourcing requirements. It is expected that this role will include acting as a Project Manager or Technical Advisor on selected projects. This role will also support the business development related to the potential growth of this team, and pursue new integrity related business opportunities.
Required traits include; energy and resource system operations and maintenance experience, people leadership, planning and organization, project management, customer service and business development skills.
Your Key Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the Manager - IMP into three (3) categories: technical, administrative / project management and business development detailed below. The relative amount of these categories will vary, depending upon project workload.
Technical
  • Providing leadership to integrity management programs
  • Provide technical oversight of risk programs and tools
  • Provide technical oversight of fitness for service assessments
  • Leading staff in developing new and innovative ways to conduct risk and integrity assessments
  • Lead development of innovative data management systems
  • Utilize technical expertise / experience to add value to both integrity and engineering design projects
  • Interpretation and management of integrity data
  • Strengthen technical knowledge through collaboration with industry peers and organizations
  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards as well as recommending best practices to project and client personnel

Administrative/Project Management
  • Actively review and approve numerous project deliverables and coach staff on procedures for preparation, review and approval of deliverables
  • Implement Project Management and Controls processes for Integrity Projects
  • Assist with developing man-hour estimates and subsequently monitor team progress against budgets, initiating appropriate notification and/or corrective actions as needed
  • Coordination with other disciplines to meet deliverables
  • Monitor and achieve deliverable milestones on project schedules
  • Facilitate project team communication
  • Implementation of quality plans and divisional procedures
  • Lead annual employee reviews and career development planning for direct reports
  • Liaise with other team members of the Integrity Division and other Divisions of Stantec
  • Compliance with Stantec EH&S program, with a focus on field safety

Business Development
  • Develop growth opportunities in integrity-related areas
  • Assist with establishing, developing, growing, and maintaining relationships with clients
  • Support divisional marketing efforts and assist in growth of Integrity Division and Stantec as a whole
  • Build business relationships with internal Stantec peers
  • Assist with preparation of Integrity proposals
  • Assist in identifying, developing, packaging, marketing, and selling potential new services

Education and Experience
  • Minimum B.Sc. in applicable Engineering discipline preferred
  • 10-12 years work experience related to integrity within the energy industry
  • Experienced with USA and Canadian standards, practices and applicable legislation

About the Team
Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
Benefits Summary: Regular full-time and part-time employees (working at least 20 hours per week) have access to medical, dental, and vision plans, a wellness program, health saving accounts, flexible spending accounts, 401(k) plan, employee stock purchase program, life and accidental death & dismemberment (AD&D) insurance, short-term/long-term disability plans, emergency travel benefits, tuition reimbursement, professional membership fee coverage and paid family leave. Regular full-time and part-time employees will receive ten paid holidays in each calendar year. In addition, employees will be eligible to accrue vacation between 10 and 20 days per year and eligible for paid sick leave (and if more generous, in accordance with state and local law).
Temporary/casual employees have access to 401(k) plans, employee stock purchase program, and paid leave, in accordance with state and local law.
