As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Inspection in Bessemer, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a food and beverage production location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, warehouses, loading docks, parking areas, offices, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as directed, and maintain accurate records of entries, incidents, patrols, and security-related observations.
  • Support site operations by reporting maintenance concerns, hazardous conditions, and policy violations to appropriate personnel and assisting with emergency procedures as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess a Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
  • Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A valid firearms permit is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
