Description

Position Summary

The Quality Control Technician is responsible for ensuring that equipment manufactured by Food Process Solutions meets established quality, safety, and customer specifications. This role performs inspections throughout the manufacturing and installation processes, identifies quality issues, maintains inspection records, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to support continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct rigorous inspections of equipment during and after the manufacturing process to ensure compliance with company and customer standards.
  • Document and report any defects, deviations, or non-conformities, and recommend corrective actions to production teams.
  • Maintain accurate inspection records and participate in internal audits as required.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and quality assurance teams to support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure all products meet the requirements for food safety, durability, and performance before shipment.
  • Utilize measuring tools and testing equipment to verify product dimensions, weld integrity, and surface finish.
  • Conduct installation quality inspections for defects, accuracy of installation and report deficiencies.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized inspection environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in quality assurance or Engineering degree is an asset.
  • Minimum 2-5 years of quality control, quality inspection, manufacturing, or fabrication experience, preferably in industrial equipment manufacturing, stainless steel fabrication, food processing equipment, or a related industry.
  • Familiarity with stainless steel fabrication and food industry equipment is an asset.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and documentation abilities.
