Position Summary

Are you detail-oriented with a strong background in medical device manufacturing and precision components?

We are looking for a Quality Inspector to join our team on the night shift. In this role, you will ensure the consistent quality of our machined components by performing inspections and supporting production in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment. The ideal candidate will have experience with CNC machining and familiarity with medical manufacturing standards, such as ISO 13485.

The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for the daily inspection tasks required to support manufacturing production. Being a member of this team, you are responsible for performing inspections to ensure that products and service of the highest level of quality are produced in accordance with the Hirsh Production System.

The ideal candidate will be able to work with others and find a solution while under a tight schedule.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

Quality Lab Production Support

  • Prioritize tasks, ensuring priorities are executed according to production schedule.
  • Operate CMMs to perform in-process inspections.
  • Perform First Article, manual and receiving inspections using measuring equipment and systems.
  • Prepare and tear down inspection equipment kits.
  • Maintain a clean and organized inspection laboratory.

Operations and Team Support

  • Analyze and communicate inspection results between Quality and Manufacturing
  • Understand the proper use of inspection concepts, tools, techniques, processes, and their application
  • Working knowledge of operating Zeiss Contura CMMs and Calypso
  • Review Process Change Requests and assist with updating QC plans
  • Perform spot checks and walk-arounds on the production floor
  • Train new team members in the systems and processes that QA utilizes

Required Experience

  • Zeiss / Calypso (or equivalent CMM) operating experience
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret engineering drawings and technical procedures
  • Familiarity with ISO 13485 and/or AS9100
  • Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
  • Basic computer skills in word processing, spreadsheets, and databases
  • Dedicated and reliable work ethic
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • High attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to communicate and interact professionally with a wide variety of internal and external customers and support groups

Education and Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of experience working in a quality/manufacturing environment
  • Preferably CNC machining related

Working Conditions: able to stand and walk around entire shift most days

Pay: $28 - $32 per hour
