Job description

As a Quality Inspector, you will perform inspections and tests for all production parts, subassemblies, purchased parts, outside operations and process along with finished products as assigned. Inspections and tests will determine compliance with all applicable drawings' procedures, checklists, specifications, and other documented requirements.
Duties:
  • Use and operate all required inspection and test equipment including but not limited to calipers, micrometers, functional gauges, and optical system.
  • Visually inspect parts for defects, flaws, plating anomalies, and other cosmetic requirements per prints and/or workmanship standards.
  • Review and understand op-sheet requirements and operations for all parts and assemblies.
  • Complete and perform job functions as detailed in the controlled document R-QA096 Continuous Improvement Training Procedure.
  • Maintain a close working relationship with the QA Manager, Production Supervisor, Quality and Process Engineering personnel.
  • Understand and apply all ISO 9100 inspection and test procedures as applicable to each inspection station.
  • Prepare inspection and test records and reports as required
  • Provide feedback and take corrective action whenever conditions exist preventing achieving quality, performance and production standards.
  • Perform assigned duties with minimal supervision.
  • Acquire proficiency in maintaining quality/production standards in one job function for which you are trained.
  • Maintain a clean, uncluttered, and safe work environment observing and practicing high standards of health and safety.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or management.

Requirements:
  • Excellent blueprint and GD&T skills.
  • Excellent PC skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent measuring equipment knowledge
  • Good vision (natural or corrected), excellent hand dexterity in both hands.
  • Ability to repeatedly lift objects weighing 5 to 10 Lbs. and occasionally up to 20 Lbs.
  • Repeated standing, walking and bending are required.
  • Ability to perform in a production environment with unusual conditions such as high volume noise level and dust.
  • Available to work overtime if necessary, including weekends.
  • Attend training sessions as required to meet standards of job related activities relating to all Sealtron applications.
  • Participate in cross-training efforts interfacing with other departments to acquire additional skills and knowledge for advancement.
