You'll identify equipment issues, perform quality repairs, and help homeowners make informed decisions regarding the comfort and performance of their HVAC systems.This position is ideal for a technician who enjoys working independently, takes pride in solving mechanical and electrical problems, and wants to continue growing with a company that values professionalism and quality workmanship.ScheduleMonday - Friday 7:30 AM - 5:00 PMAdditional overtime and participation in an on-call rotation may be required during peak heating and cooling seasons.Primary ResponsibilitiesDiagnose and repair residential heating and air conditioning systemsPerform preventative maintenance, inspections, and system performance evaluationsTroubleshoot electrical, refrigeration, airflow, and mechanical system issuesService furnaces, heat pumps, air conditioners, mini-split systems, and indoor air quality equipmentVerify proper refrigerant charge, airflow, electrical operation, and overall system performanceClearly explain repair recommendations and maintenance findings to customersComplete accurate digital work orders and service documentationMaintain inventory, tools, and cleanliness of assigned company vehicleEnsure all work complies with manufacturer specifications, local codes, and company quality standardsFollow all company safety policies and industry best practicesParticipate in ongoing technical training to stay current with industry advancementsMinimum QualificationsMinimum 2 years of residential HVAC service experienceEPA Universal Certification (Required)Current HVAC industry certifications required (NATE Certification or equivalent preferred)Valid driver's license with a clean, insurable driving recordStrong troubleshooting and diagnostic skillsWorking knowledge of refrigeration systems, electrical controls, gas furnaces, heat pumps, and airflow principlesAbility to read wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, and manufacturer service literatureExcellent customer service and communication skillsStrong organizational and time management abilitiesAbility to work independently while managing multiple service callsAbility to lift up to 75 pounds and work in attics, crawl spaces, rooftops, and varying weather conditionsPreferred QualificationsCommercial HVAC service experienceRefrigeration service and repair experienceStrong electrical troubleshooting backgroundNATE Certification(s)Experience servicing multiple HVAC equipment manufacturersAirflow diagnostics and static pressure testingRefrigerant recovery, charging, and leak detectionGas furnace combustion analysisExperience with digital dispatching and mobile field service softwareAbility to accurately identify repair-versus-replacement opportunitiesWhy Join Bridger Heating & Cooling?At Bridger Heating & Cooling, we believe experienced technicians deserve the right tools, support, and opportunities to continue growing their careers.
