Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and experienced HVAC Technician 3 to perform advanced HVAC and refrigeration work within a resort environment. This senior-level position is responsible for completing projects, guest service calls, preventative maintenance, and large-scale HVAC initiatives as directed by resort leadership.

As the HVAC Technician 3, you will:

  • Perform projects, guest calls, blitzes, and preventative maintenance as instructed by resort leadership.
  • Able to execute daily tasks and projects assigned in HVAC systems and support other trades.
  • Expert on HVAC and refrigeration systems operations, troubleshooting, repairs & installation of equipment.
  • Provides leadership and support by managing contracted services and installations to ensure quality.
  • Leads internal projects with extensive HVAC scope as required by property leadership.
  • Provide expertise & oversight for safety, mechanical integrity, and quality assurance as instructed by resort leadership.
  • Responsible for the operations and maintenance of chillers, cooling towers and other major HVAC-R equipment.
  • Skilled in operating through Energy Management Systems, BMS, BAS or other similar controls.
  • Expert ability to read and interpret technical data, and Operation & Maintenance manuals.
  • Actively participates in procurement and inventory process to ensure materials and tools are on-site for work.
  • Ability to effectively operate resort operations devices & software (HotSOS).
  • Communicates professionally through radios, phones, emails, and verbal communications.
  • Perform custodial and maintenance duties, as required by resort leadership.
  • Safely uses hand tools, electrical and battery-powered tools, and/or any other pertinent tool required by the job.
  • Ability to work using ladders, scaffolds, lifts, dust masks, and work in confined/tight spaces.
  • Must have the ability to follow safety guidelines & practices.
  • Recognizes and identifies potential hazards in the property.
  • Ability to communicate and interpret guest needs by positively interacting towards resolutions.
  • Must comply with all CFI/Westgate Resorts policies and procedures.
  • Must always represent Westgate Resorts in a professional manner through appearance, dress, and professional behavior.
  • Other duties as assigned by resort operations leadership.
Qualifications
  • HVAC technical certification or license required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in HVAC maintenance in a resort or commercial environment.
  • Must be detail-oriented with effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt to various tasks, perform effectively under pressure, and meet deadlines consistently.
  • Must regularly lift and/or move, push and/or pull up to 50+ pounds.
  • Must demonstrate proficiency in reading, writing, and conversing in English.
  • Availability to work weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
