As part of the machine/building maintenance team, the person in this position leads highly complex repairs, modifications and preventative maintenance on buildings, facilities, equipment, fixtures and systems.

DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Diagnoses, troubleshoots, and repair complex HVAC systems and equipment.
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on commercial and industrial HVAC systems.
  • Install, test, and commission HVAC equipment, including:
    • Chillers
    • Boilers
    • Air handling units (AHUs)
    • Rooftop units (RTUs)
    • Variable air volume (VAV) systems
    • Cooling towers
    • Pumps and motors
    • Split systems and VRF systems
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and control sequences.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and control-related issues.
  • Work with Building Automation Systems (BAS) and energy management systems.
  • Perform refrigerant recovery and charging in compliance with EPA regulations.
  • Monitor system performance and recommend operational improvements.
  • Coordinate major repairs and equipment replacements with contractors and vendors.
  • Ensure all work complies with OSHA, EPA, local codes, and company safety standards.
  • Complete work orders, maintenance logs, inspection reports, and documentation accurately.
  • Participate in emergency response and after-hours support as required.
  • Assist with project planning, scheduling, and system upgrades.

What We Are Looking For
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • HVAC certification or trade school training preferred.
  • EPA Universal Certification required.
  • Minimum 8 years of commercial or industrial HVAC experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of:
    • HVAC controls
    • Electrical systems
    • Refrigeration cycles
    • Variable frequency drives (VFDs)
What We Offer

Compensation: This is a salaried non-exempt role. This means that employees are paid a salary and also receive overtime pay when they work more than 40 hours in a week (or as otherwise required by state law). The starting salary range for this role and market is between $68,000 - $89,250 annually. Factors that may affect starting salary include geography/market and the skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for the BroadBase Incentive (BBI) program with a target payout of 2%.

Location and Schedule: This position is located in Richardson, TX and will be in the office Monday through Friday.

Paid Time Off: Depending on date of hire, and subject to applicable eligibility requirements, new employees in this role also receive up to: 12 days paid time off, 2 paid well-being days, 1 paid volunteer day, 9 to 11 paid company holidays depending on the year, and 3 floating holidays per year.
