Job description

The Installation Technician reports to the Operations Manager and is responsible for performing a range of HVACR installation jobs for industrial, commercial, and residential customers. Customer-based activities require an individual possessing traits of decisiveness, initiative, tact, judgment, integrity, dependability, and the ability to communicate in a technically credible manner. Job-related contact can occur with virtually all demographic groups, with the majority of working contacts being customers, other Classic Aire Care, Inc. technicians, the Installation Manager, the Estimator and the Parts Runner.

Primary Job Function:
  • Install new heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems
  • Inspect and perform equipment repairs and replacements
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance
  • Respond to emergency maintenance requests
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures

Required Qualifications:
  • Insurable driving record
  • Must be able to pass a drug and medical screening
  • Must have a clean criminal background check
  • 3+ years of residential installation experience
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with all types of customers
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Comfortable familiarity with HVAC wiring diagrams
  • Demonstrated ability to forge strong relationships with clients
  • Strong mechanical background
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects

Desired Qualifications:
  • CFC Universal Certification
  • NATE certification or the willingness to obtain certifications
  • EPA Certification
  • Journeyman license for St. Louis County and City or the willingness to obtain the certification
  • A driven work ethic with the willingness to learn and grow
  • Experience working for an established Heating & Cooling company.
