Job description

We’re looking for a collaborative and detail-oriented Business Systems Analyst to join our IT team and play a key role in supporting and enhancing critical business applications and data systems.

In this role, you’ll partner with teams across the organization to analyze business needs, troubleshoot system and data issues, and help deliver technology solutions that drive efficiency and innovation. From supporting CRM operations and data integrations to contributing to enterprise-wide projects, you’ll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

What You’ll Do

System Monitoring & Support

  • Monitor and maintain daily CRM data imports and exports 
  • Ensure the stability and performance of CRM-related systems and databases 
  • Troubleshoot data flow, API, replication, backup, and validation issues 
  • Collaborate with vendors and external partners to resolve system and data concerns 
  • Support CRM software deployments and production updates 
  • Maintain development, testing, and training databases 

Business & Data Analysis

  • Investigate and analyze data issues reported by end users 
  • Perform ad-hoc database queries and technical analysis 
  • Support business requirement gathering and solution design 
  • Assist with identifying opportunities to improve system performance, scalability, and reliability 
  • Analyze import/export processes to ensure data integrity and operational efficiency 

Project Collaboration

  • Participate in projects from planning through production rollout and post-launch support 
  • Help create and maintain technical documentation, process diagrams, release notes, and project materials 
  • Partner with stakeholders across departments to deliver effective solutions on aggressive timelines 

Testing & Quality Assurance

  • Develop and execute testing plans for CRM and integrated systems 
  • Document and communicate bugs, enhancements, and fixes with development teams 
  • Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and gather business sign-off 

Teamwork & Support

  • Collaborate closely with IT and business teams across the organization 
  • Occasionally assist with help desk and general IT support as needed 

What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree in Information Technology or related field with 4+ years of relevant SQL/database experience
    OR 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related discipline 
  • Experience supporting database-driven applications (SQL Server, MySQL, or Oracle) 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities 
  • Ability to work independently while also thriving in a collaborative team environment 

Preferred Experience

  • SQL Server and data/business analysis experience 
  • CRM and/or ERP systems experience 
  • Data import/export and SSIS experience 
  • Insurance industry experience or licensing knowledge is a plus 
  • UML or technical documentation experience preferred 

Technical Skills

  • Microsoft SQL Server (preferred), MySQL, or Oracle 
  • Database maintenance and troubleshooting 
  • Data analysis and reporting 
  • API and data integration concepts 
  • CRM/ERP platforms 
  • Attention to detail and quality assurance practices
