Dynamic Integrated Services (DIS) is seeking a Shipper/Packer to join our growing organization. This role will partner closely with a team of talented managers to support our operations for a specific contract supporting the Veteran Affairs.

Shift Availability: First Shift 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM; Second Shift 3:30 PM-12:00 AM Monday - Friday.

Key Responsibilities (What you will do)

  • Knowledge of various items of stock in order to verify content
  • Selection of appropriate type and size of container
  • Inserting enclosures in container
  • Using excelsior or other material to prevent breakage or damage
  • Closing and sealing container
  • Applying labels or entering identifying data on container
  • Operates several types of packaging equipment.
  • Maintain work area in clean and orderly manner.
  • Maintains inventories of drugs and supplies, stocking shelves, rotating stock, and checking expiration dates.
  • Act as a "runner" and deliver messages, documents, or items to various locations at the facility when needed.

Required Skills:

  • Have a high school diploma or GED.
  • Demonstrate effective interpersonal communication skills with coworkers and staff.
  • Have basic typing skills, PC computer skills, and working knowledge of MS Office.
  • Must read, understand, speak, and write English fluently under the authority of U.S.C. 7402(d) and 7407(d).
  • Must be able to lift to 50 pounds when required; push or pull up to 150 pounds on a rolling cart or using a pallet jack.
  • Able to stand for long periods of time (8-10 hours) and being able to lift totes weighing up to 30 pounds repetitively.
  • Must be able to understand the precautions required when handling hazardous materials and hazardous waste.
  • Must be able to read computer screens and use scanning equipment.
  • Must be able to respond to alarms and alerts.

Salary is commensurate with experience.
