This role is part of the Blue Origin Engines business unit, where our focus is the design, development, manufacturing, and testing of engines and propulsion systems. Built for multiple uses, our family of engines is powering the next generation of rockets for commercial, civil, national security, and human spaceflight.

As our Program Master Scheduler, you'll be the architect of that rhythm - owning the master schedule and production plan that turns ambitious engine programs into on-time reality.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Develop, maintain, and own the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and master production plan spanning Test, Production, Development, and Repairs.
  • Translate program milestones and Integrated Master Plans (IMP) into resource-loaded, executable schedules with clear critical paths.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Program Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Test, and Quality to synchronize inputs and drive schedule feasibility.
  • Perform critical path analysis, schedule risk analysis (SRA), and what-if scenario modeling to identify and mitigate bottlenecks before they impact delivery.
  • Balance supply and demand across build, test, development, and repair workflows - optimizing capacity, labor, tooling, test assets, and long-lead materials.
  • Establish and track schedule performance metrics; report status, variances, and recovery plans to program leadership.
  • Continuously update schedules to reflect engineering changes, material availability, and production progress.
  • Develop and improve scheduling software tools and automation to enhance data integrity, reporting, and cross-program visibility.
  • Champion scheduling best practices, standards, and continuous-improvement initiatives across the engine portfolio.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related technical/operations discipline.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in master scheduling, program planning, or production planning within a complex manufacturing, aerospace, or hardware-development environment.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with scheduling tools such as Microsoft Project and/or Smartsheet.
  • Proven experience building and maintaining Integrated Master Schedules, including resource loading and critical path management.
  • Ability to develop or script custom software tools to support scheduling, reporting, and data analysis.
  • Strong cross-functional communication skills and the ability to influence without authority.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in master scheduling, program planning, or production planning within a complex manufacturing, aerospace, or hardware-development environment.
  • Experience scheduling across the full hardware lifecycle - Test, Production, Development, and Repairs - in a propulsion or aerospace setting.
  • Familiarity with MRP/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and PLM/MES tools.
  • Experience integrating agile/collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence) into scheduling workflows.
  • Proficiency in scripting or software development (e.g., Python, SQL, Power Automate) to build custom scheduling tools and automation.
  • Knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) principles and schedule health metrics.
  • PMP, PMI-SP, or equivalent scheduling/program-management certification.
  • Advanced Excel and data-visualization skills (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
