Job description

Job Summary

The Designer will implement the design concept into the drawings and act as liaison between drafting and engineering to ensure job coordination and product excellence.

Job Duties/Responsibilities
  • Equipment arrangement, assemblies and subassemblies, component layout or dimensional checks necessary to check the overall equipment for interference, accessibility and serviceability.
  • Design or application of ducting, plant piping, burners, piping skids, F.R.P. and steel vessels, process coils, refractory and structural steel which includes platform arrangement/design.
  • Other areas include welding, painting and plating applications, institution of ANSI and ASME specifications and fabrication/shipping procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

Work Experience

  • 5 years of technical experience relevant to the position.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD Windows based software programs.

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
